Database Technical Specialist
Location: Fleet, Hampshire (3 days per week onsite)
Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: Initial 12-month contract

Our client, a global IT services organisation, is seeking an experienced Database Technical Specialist to join a major Financial Services programme.
This role will be responsible for the administration, support and optimisation of critical database platforms, with a particular focus on Oracle and MongoDB technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, security and application teams to deliver highly resilient, secure and automated database services within a highly regulated financial services environment.
Required Experience
* Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 19c and MongoDB v7.
* Professional certification in Oracle and MongoDB technologies.
* Experience administering MongoDB Ops Manager.
* Experience administering Oracle Enterprise Manager.
* Strong knowledge of Oracle Wallet.
* Experience integrating database platforms with enterprise security solutions such as CyberArk.
* Strong automation experience using Ansible and Jenkins.
* Strong Shell Scripting capabilities.
* Experience developing and supporting PL/SQL solutions.
* Knowledge of JavaScript.
* Experience using ServiceNow for incident and change management activities.
* Recent experience working within top-tier Financial Services organisations is essential.
* Experience supporting business-critical platforms within highly regulated Banking, Financial Services or Payments environments.
* Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
Highly Desirable
* Experience with Jenkins-based delivery pipelines.
* Knowledge of integrating Oracle Wallet with CyberArk.
* Experience with Oracle GoldenGate.
* Knowledge of the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana).
* Experience within Tier 1 Banking, Investment Banking, Cards or Payments environments.
Please note that due to the onsite requirement, candidates must be able to commit to attending the Fleet office three days per week throughout the duration of the assignment. Recent top-tier Financial Services experience is a mandatory requirement and candidates without this background are unlikely to be considered.
