C# Developer – Financial Services

Location: Cheshire (2 days per week onsite – mandatory)
Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: Initial 12-month contract (extensions likely)

Atrium EMEA are supporting a world-leading IT services client in their search for an experienced C# Developer to join a major financial services programme based in Cheshire.
This role will suit an established C# Developer with strong recent experience working within enterprise-level banking or financial services organisations. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing a suite of existing custom-built applications, whilst working closely with stakeholders to deliver ongoing improvements and technical solutions.
Candidates must be based within a commutable distance of Cheshire and willing to attend the office two days per week. Applications from candidates outside the local area will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
* Support, maintain, and enhance existing custom-built C# applications.
* Design, develop, and implement new features and functionality.
* Troubleshoot application issues and provide ongoing production support.
* Investigate and analyse API outputs and integration requirements.
* Assess the feasibility of API-based data extraction and integration solutions.
* Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions.
* Utilise Python for automation, scripting, and data-related tasks where required.
* Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and application lifecycle management.

Required Experience
* Strong commercial experience developing applications using C#.
* Advanced SQL development and database experience.
* Commercial experience with Python.
* Experience supporting and enhancing existing enterprise applications.
* Experience working with APIs, integrations, and data extraction solutions.
* Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
* Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Recent experience working within a banking or financial services environment.

Essential Requirements
* Recent banking or financial services experience.
* Experience working within enterprise-scale environments.
* Strong C#, SQL, and Python capabilities.
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of existing applications.
* Ability to commute to Cheshire two days per week.
* Candidates must already be based within a commutable distance of Cheshire. Relocators will not be considered.

Please note: Only candidates with recent financial services experience and the ability to attend the Cheshire office twice per week will be considered. These requirements are mandatory.
