Atrium EMEA are supporting a leading IT Services organisation in their search for a Data Project Manager / Delivery Lead to join a major UK financial services client.

Role: Data Project Manager / Delivery Lead
Location: Knutsford (2 days per week onsite – mandatory)
Daily Rate: Up to £500 (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 6-12 months (likely extensions)

This role sits within a security-focused programme but is heavily aligned to data delivery, coordination, and team leadership, rather than deep technical security or cryptography delivery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing structure, direction, and accountability to an existing team, ensuring delivery milestones are met and that workstreams are aligned across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and maintain structured delivery plans, milestones, and tracking mechanisms

Provide day-to-day leadership across a data-focused delivery team

Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders including internal teams and third-party partners

Ensure clear documentation, governance, and reporting across the workstream

Identify delivery risks, blockers, and dependencies, and drive resolution

Bring organisation and direction to a team that requires stronger leadership and delivery discipline

Act as the central point of coordination rather than a purely strategic PM

Key Requirements

Strong background as a Project Manager or Delivery Lead within financial services

Proven experience working on data-focused programmes or data workstreams

Experience stabilising or improving underperforming or unstructured teams

Strong stakeholder management across large enterprise environments

Hands-on approach – comfortable being embedded within the team and driving delivery day-to-day

Experience working within large IT services environments is highly desirable
